Problem: Design a two-page spread layout utilizing an assigned art movement and letter to base artwork on.
Solution: A layout that verbally and visually communicates the psychedelic art movement. When given the letter G, a psychedelic gazelle became the focal art of the piece.
Letter Design: The colors within the letter were very common hues found within poster design in the Psychedelic movement. The design embraces the movement's use of echoing shapes and repetition. Also essential is the movement found within the smaller letterforms and together work to bring legibility.
Illustration Concept: This illustration embraces the use of pattern and dot work from the Psychedelic movement. The expression of the gazelle represents the widespread use of drugs and the influence that had on art.
